John J. Bratkowski

Born in Vancouver and raised on Vancouver Island, John grew up working for his father and on the family farm. After obtaining a Finance Diploma from Camosun College, John started his career in finance working with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Through work experience and family advice, John realized he wished to pursue an accounting designation. After completing the Vancouver Island University’s Bachelor of Business Administration program in 2010 with an accounting degree, John bridged into the Certified General Accountant program and obtained his designation in June 2014.

John joined the team at Johnston, Johnston & Associates Ltd. in October of 2012 and became partner in 2016. John enjoys giving back to the community and in 2015 became a member of the Vancouver Island University Alumni Board of Directors, where his accounting career began.

In his spare time, John enjoys outdoor west coast living. He enjoys spending time with his daughter, candle lit dinners with his wife, and long walks on the beach with his dog.
